Exactly What We Check
- SEC Investment Adviser Public Disclosure (IAPD) — does the firm actually appear on the register?
- FINRA BrokerCheck — is the person who contacted you registered to sell what they are offering?
- Clone-firm screen — does this website / email domain match the firm’s registered details, or is it an impersonation?
- Contact verification — do the phone and email you were given actually belong to the firm on the register?
- Custody check — if you were to send money, who would actually hold it? A real custodian or a shell account?
- Terms & conditions review — in plain English, what are you really agreeing to?
- Red-flag inventory — the warning signs we spotted, with references.
The Written Report
You receive a 4 to 8 page plain-English report covering what we could confirm, what we couldn’t, every red flag we spotted, and a clear “proceed / don’t proceed / proceed with caution” summary. The decision is always yours — we just make sure it’s informed.
Speed & Price
Most audits are turned around in 2 to 5 business days. Flat fee is $250 to $600 depending on how deep we need to dig. If the firm is a clear fraud and we can prove it in an hour, we’ll tell you and refund the difference.
