Each author&#8217;s name is in the byline where relevant.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h2>Where Our Facts Come From<\/h2>\n<p>Primary sources, in roughly this order of preference:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Official US regulators \u2014 SEC, FINRA, FTC, CFPB, IRS, state regulators;<\/li>\n<li>Direct publications from the authority involved (rule texts, enforcement actions, official FAQs);<\/li>\n<li>Court records and public filings;<\/li>\n<li>Established financial media when covering news, with the primary source linked.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We do not cite Wikipedia, random forum posts, or affiliate review sites as authority.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h2>How Pages Are Checked<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>The writer drafts the page with sources attached.<\/li>\n<li>A second consultant reviews for accuracy and plain-English clarity.<\/li>\n<li>Any factual claim with a public source gets a verifiable link.<\/li>\n<li>The page is published with a &#8220;Last reviewed&#8221; date.<\/li>\n<li>Every page is re-reviewed at least yearly, or sooner when rules change.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h2>What We Won&#8217;t Publish<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Specific investment picks (&#8220;buy this stock&#8221;);<\/li>\n<li>Affiliate links disguised as recommendations;<\/li>\n<li>Sponsored content;<\/li>\n<li>Guesses dressed up as facts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h2>Corrections<\/h2>\n<p>When we get something wrong, we correct it openly.
